Take a Minute to Break the Stress Cycle
When stressed, the body produces the hormone Cortisol which interferes with insulin and Leptin, hormones essential in weight regulation. When stressed, we also tend to fall into the trap of eating “comfort food” that is generally higher in calories and fat.
Slowing down for just a minute to take four deep breaths can positively disrupt a stress-induced chain reaction and help you make better choices. Another option is to get up and move around for a minute to burn off a bit of nervous energy, before settling back in and refocusing on the task at hand.
Hope this works!!!
