ENJOY HEALTHIER CELEBRATIONS
Celebrations can be a tricky time so stay ahead of any temptations by taking the time to revisit your WHY. Remind yourself why you are on this journey and lean on others in your support system including me, your independent OPTAVIA Coach, to stay focused on your goals.
While special occasions often includes sweets, you can easily celebrate while also staying on plan whether you stay in or attend a party!
Consider these tips to help you stay on track:
- Outsmart the food. If you’re at a party, use the smallest plate available and don’t stack your food. Offer to bring a veggie tray or a Lean & Green meal to provide some healthy options. Visit the OPTAVIA App, available for download in the App (Apple) or Google Play (Android) stores for nearly 200 fun and appetizing plan-approved recipes!
- Don’t start the night hungry. Even if you are attending a party, don’t go hungry! Instead, have a nutritious OPTAVIA Fueling coupled with some water so you can focus on the fun and not the food.
- Consider healthy treats. Instead of junk food, purchase glow sticks/small glow-in-the-dark toys, crayons and coloring books for the kids to enjoy!
- Get moving. If you are planning a party, make sure it isn’t all about the food! Instead, incorporate activities such as a pin the tail on the donkey or a game of tag.
