Decide on Optimal Health

My client SG who is the sister of a friend found out about my weight loss and called me.  She started on the program in the middle of May 2010.  When I became her health coach, she really didn’t know what to expect.  But, she was so motivated and compliant with the guidelines of the program that she began to see real success.  In October 2010, 5 months later, she began transition & maintenance.

What is really cool about SG is that she only has 1/2 a thyroid, is on meds and will never really be able to leave them behind.   She was able to lose 56 lbs in that short period of time and has maintained that weight loss ever since.  Truly amazing!  This is important to understand because typically, people with thyroid issues believe they cannot lose weight.  She has illuminated the answer to that question for thousands.    What losing weight involves is committment to one’s desired outcome.  Not will power…not strength…not judgment.   There’s a difference.

When you decide that it’s time to address weight loss issues, and by that I mean, really decide.  Not just another half-hearted nod because someone hurt your feelings or you once again could not avoid seeing yourself in a dressing room mirror.  (Although admittedly, sometimes that’s what it takes…).  Full out, on-board,  all-in decision to create health in your life, then you go for it.  From there, you call me and  together we begin the process of acquainting you with the habits of health that will ultimately bring about the results you are looking for.  Not a diet, because diets don’t work.  A program…complete, do-able and easy to manage.  Proper and rational weight loss tools that teach the principals of healthy eating for humans, like the food groups on the 9″ plate, of 1/2  fruits and vegetables, 1/4 protein and 1/4 whole grain with an optimal blend of macronutrients (50% carb, 40% protein and 10% fat).

We call it optimal health – health optimization based on a person’s age and general condition.  For me, so far it’s 105 lbs down in 34 weeks, eliminating my diagnosis of Diabetes II, High Blood Pressure and High Cholesterol, along with the 5 medications I was taking.   My own vision of what my health looks like has been sharply clarified.  It took me 25 years, but I finally decided, just like SG.

This could be your story.  It’s on the horizon…sound, promising, waiting.  Just decide, reach out for it, grab hold, tighten your grasp and don’t let go!   I’ll be waiting for your call.

  1. I was forwarded a website from my daughter re: a family member that has battled weight issues for many yrs. She has lost so many lbs due to this program and has become a coach to encourage others. I am wanting to also achieve similar goals, as I also have medical issues and hope she will take me as a coach to also find this life an easier and open door to possibilities for my remaining yrs of my life as a senior person. I encourage others to look into her testimonials and make the decision to investigate what possibilities life has given to us.
